School Challenge

Nova Scotia Health School Participation Challenge

Could your school use cash for sports equipment and gear? If so, read on to learn more about the Youth Running Series School Participation Challenge.

Here’s how it works:

There are six YRS races from April to October. When registering for a running event, include which school you attend. After each YRS running event, the most runners from a school receive recognition and a group photo. At the year-end banquet, cash prizes will be awarded to the top schools with the most accumulated runners over the series. Plus, any school with at least 75 participation points will be awarded $250.

All schools will receive one Nova Scotia Health School Participation point for each Full-Series and Single-Race (Trackie) runner that completes each race. At the end of the year, the top participating schools will receive money to put towards running programs at their school.

If you would like to sponsor YRS to give back to the community through our schools, please contact at yourthrunningseries@gmail.com.
