For the last 37 years, Eastern Passage has hosted an amazing summer carnival (www.epcbsummercarnival.ca).  Their community carnival is packed with fun activities for families: sand-castle contest, teen paegent, teddy bear picnic, car show, washer toss, dances, a parade, carnival rides, fireworks and this year - they've added a children's 1K fun run called Dolphin Dash and are inviting the YRS members to participate.
 
Families are encouraged to watch the awesome parade at 10am and directly following the last float, walk over to the back-field of Tallahassee Community School and check-in at the registration desk. The Dolphin Dash will start at 1pm.
 
Parents are encouraged to make supportive signs and cheer on the children!  There will be lots of prizes for participants, spectators and surprises too! 
 
Plan to make August 11th a family day in Eastern Passage!  In addition to the fresh salt air, parade and Dolphin Dash, there will be plenty of carnival activities to keep you busy the entire morning and afternoon.  Don't worry about going hungry, local community groups (scouts, girl guides etc.) also have fundraiser booths with fresh pizza and ice cream too!
